Student Assistant II, Portfolio Intelligence

Job Summary
The Portfolio Intelligence (PI) Student Assistant supports Advancement staff though a wide variety of processes and procedures related to constituent data and portfolio management. PI primarily focuses on constituents that are assigned to a development officer and helps strategize around successfully asking for gifts to meet the University of Colorado’s annual fundraising goals. The Student Assistant will work with the PI team and Advancement staff to update constituent data and ensure data integrity is maintained. As well as, report issues and resolve questions for staff as needed.
Compensation & Work Location: This position will be paid $19.29 per hour. This position is expected to work 10-20 hours per week. This position has been approved for a remote and hybrid work arrangement. The final work arrangement will depend on the individual candidate and what works best for their schedule.
Essential Duties
- Assist with daily PI team workflow, including data entry related to prospect, proposal, contact report, and performance management data in the Ascend database and assist with reviewing data and maintaining data integrity.
- Follow procedures for entering and classifying data in the database, ensuring accuracy and consistency, identifying and updating standards when needed.
- Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained when receiving and handling requests from internal and external customers, representing the University in a positive and professional manner, including maintaining and responding to questions, requests, and concerns received via the PI e-mail inbox in ServiceCloud.
- Support PI analysts with monthly reporting duties across campus as needed.
Other Duties
- Perform administrative support for the PI team as needed, including large data projects or updating documents and PowerPoints.
- Attend PI related meetings including team meetings, strategy sessions, 1:1s, and various ad-hoc meetings as available.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including but are not limited to)
- Ability to quickly acquire and apply new skills and knowledge for one or more processes or areas.
- Ability to maintain high level of accuracy and attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where assessment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
- Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Solid customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing as well as using good judgment in situations requiring initiative and tact.
- Strong time and project management skills.
- Previous knowledge and experience with word processing, email, spreadsheet and database software programs. Computer skills may be subject to testing/verification.
- Due to a high volume of data entry, inter-office correspondence, and donor correspondence, etc., the ability to type with speed and accuracy is a minimum requirement.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently as this is a primarily work from home position.
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled as a current CU Student.
- Ability to critically think and not just follow instructions is required.
- Previous experience working in a business office environment is preferred but not required.
- Data entry, database and/or other directly related experience preferred.
