Tax Senior Accountant

As we continue to expand our full-service accounting firm, we are seeking a qualified, experienced Tax Senior Accountant to manage tax returns, concentrating on individual and fiduciaries, but also preparation and review of corporate and partnerships throughout the year.
Details
Responsible for tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance functions. Will supervise the completion of financial reporting and tax return accuracy. Must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state, and local level.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts management level review of individual tax returns including final resolutions of tax matters with the client
- Supervises and provides verbal/written performance feedback to associates and Senior Associates on all projects
- Assists with developing, recommending, and implementing efficient and effective methods to maximize client benefits, especially by decreasing clients’ current and future taxes.
- Provides advice to clients in a timely manner.
- Reviews work prepared by Associates and Senior Associates and provides review comments
- Trains Associates and Seniors how to use all current software tools
- Schedules and manages workload of Associates and Senior Associates
- Serves as a technical resource
- Ensure client service teams comply with Firm policy

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Licensed CPA in NY or working towards CPA license
- Minimum three years’ experience in public accounting
- Experience with individual and business taxation
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 per year, commensurate with relevant experience
