Responsibilities:
- Setting rigorous yet appropriate learning outcomes that are aligned with students’
Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals - Establishing supportive relationships with students and families
- Engaging students in meaningful, developmentally appropriate, real-world discussions and learning activities to develop artistic expression
- Developing authentic and aligned assessments to measure student growth and inform instructional decisions
- Prepare students for public presentation of artistic work
- Collaboratively work with team members to fulfill the mission, vision, and beliefs of
both the school(s) and the District
Certification / Requirements:
- Holds or is eligible for Louisiana Ancillary Certification specific to talented position:
– Master’s degree in Art, Art Education, Fine Arts, or Liberal Arts
– Verification of substantial evidence of artistic or creative accomplishment over an extended period of time - Minimum of one (1) year of successful experience working with students in the specific arts area, grades K-12 PREFERRED
