Job Description:
We’re seeking a hands-on and safety-driven Safety Coordinator to support our second-shift operations at the North American Parts Distribution Center in Milan, IL.
This role acts as a critical link between 1st and 2nd shift safety operations, supporting a 24/7 warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety mindset, communication skills, and the ability to train and guide others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, and implement corrective actions
- Develop and deliver OSHA-compliant and client-required safety training for 2nd shift staff
- Manage and track mobile equipment certifications and renewals
- Identify safety risks and conduct routine audits and inspections
- Act as the 2nd shift point-of-contact for general safety and compliance matters
- Coordinate closely with 1st shift safety teams to ensure consistent policy enforcement
Skill Set Requirements:
- Experience in warehousing or manufacturing environments with strong safety focus
- Safety degree or equivalent hands-on manufacturing safety experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- CSP accreditation is preferred
