Assignment Length: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite (Candidates must relocate and be onsite from Day 1)
Pay Rate: Hourly on W2 (All-Inclusive; No PTO/Holiday Pay)
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) — training on 1st shift required
Safety Requirement: Metatarsal boots required
Job Overview
The Mechanical Technician will support engineering teams by executing manual tests on electronic assemblies, performing equipment maintenance, and ensuring proper documentation of testing results. This role is critical for validating production readiness of electronic products. Candidates must be comfortable working hands-on in a lab environment and following detailed engineering procedures.
Key Job Duties
- Conduct manual testing of electronic assemblies and accurately document results.
- Set up lab equipment according to engineering instructions and testing requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on lab equipment and electronic products.
- Support troubleshooting activities to identify root causes of issues.
- Read, interpret, and follow engineering documents including schematics and diagrams.
- Maintain test records, documentation, and product history logs.
- Work independently to complete assigned testing activities.
- Train on 1st shift for an initial period before moving to 2nd shift.
Required Education
- A.S. in Electronics, OR
- Two-year technical diploma, OR
- Equivalent military certification, OR
- Equivalent hands-on technical experience
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- 3+ years preferred
Required Skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Understanding of troubleshooting methodologies and root cause analysis
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and other engineering documents
- Ability to maintain accurate product records and documentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with manufacturing or electronic component processes
- Experience with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Background in one or more of the following areas:
