Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Audit & Assurance Senior Associate with recent accounting experience and willingness to lead and advise staff, to join our growing team. Senior Associates play a vital role in monitoring engagements, mentoring junior team members, and delivering high-quality service to our clients. This role is ideal for professionals who want to grow technically while building client and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Client Service Excellence
- Take responsibility for portions of for-profit audits, reviews, and compilations from planning to completion.
- Serve as a key point of contact with clients to coordinate timing, requests, and deliverables.
- Understand each client’s industry, competitors, and strategic goals.
- React quickly to change, identifying roadblocks and adjusting service plans accordingly.
People Management & Relationships
- Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to Associates and Interns.
- Delegate projects based on risk, skill development opportunities, and engagement needs.
- Conduct detailed reviews of work performed by junior staff.
- Build loyal, trusting team relationships and promote a positive team environment.
- Develop professional networks and client relationships.
Expertise & Technical Skills
- Apply U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and risk assessment procedures to audit areas.
- Research accounting issues and draft conclusions for review by Supervisor or Manager.
- Prepare financial reports, including footnotes and supplemental information.
Personal and Professional Growth
- Participate in firm-sponsored learning and professional development programs.
- Seek opportunities to contribute beyond assigned responsibilities.
- Build a professional network through alumni programs, local organizations, and industry events.
- Progress toward CPA licensure (if not yet completed).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting experience
