Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Audit and Assurance Supervisorwith recent accounting and supervisory experience to join our growing team. The Supervisor is responsible for managing multiple audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion, developing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members—all while upholding the firm’s high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
Client Service Excellence
- Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning to wrap-up.
- Maintain continual communication with clients throughout the year to understand and meet their business needs.
- Present confidently at client meetings, including audit committees or board presentations.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of client industries, business models, and strategies.
- Embrace and promote firm-wide initiatives and changes (e.g., new tools, procedures).
People Management & Relationships
- Supervise, delegate, and review work of Seniors, Associates, and Interns.
- Serve as a mentor and coach to team members, offering timely and constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment that motivates and develops others.
- Participate in firm initiatives such as recruiting, training, and business development activities.
Expertise & Technical Skills
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and recent accounting pronouncements.
- Research complex accounting issues and present findings and recommendations.
- Prepare and review complex financial reports, including disclosures and supplementary information.
- Ensure compliance with SKM’s quality standards across all engagements.
Personal and Professional Growth
- Proactively develop long-term client relationships beyond the annual engagement.
- Expand professional networks and represent the firm in the community.
- Stay informed on current industry trends and accounting guidance.
- Attend proposal meetings and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license or interested in pursuing CPA certification
- 4–7 years of accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
