Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Audit and Assurance Manager with several years of progressive experience in accounting and auditing; including leading and managing multiple teams, to join our growing firm. The Manager plays a key role in overseeing audit engagements, managing client relationships, identifying opportunities for expanded services, and contributing to the firm’s strategic initiatives. This is a client-facing leadership position ideal for experienced professionals looking to take the next step in their career.
Responsibilities
Client Service Excellence
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit, review, and compilation engagements.
- Develop deep understanding of clients’ business goals and industry-specific trends.
- Provide proactive guidance to clients on accounting developments and opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure comprehensive client service.
- Identify opportunities to deliver added value and strengthen client loyalty.
People Management & Relationships
- Supervise and mentor a team of Seniors, Associates, and Interns through real-time feedback, training, and performance evaluations.
- Set clear expectations and manage engagement economics and staffing.
- Provide coaching and serve as a role model, promoting a positive, accountable, and team-first culture.
- Support firm initiatives such as recruiting, training, and onboarding.
Expertise & Technical Skills
- Maintain strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and current accounting pronouncements.
- Resolve complex accounting and reporting issues through research and collaboration.
- Stay up to date with firm policies, industry regulations, and auditing standards.
Personal and Professional Growth
- Develop and expand a personal and professional network through community involvement and firm representation.
- Identify extended service opportunities and contribute to client retention and growth.
- Take ownership of professional development through continuous learning, leadership roles, and coaching others.
- Participate in business development efforts, including attending proposal meetings and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Active CPA license
- 6–10 years of experience in accounting, including experience managing teams and engagements
