Experience Team Intern

Rocky Mountain Public Media, home to Rocky Mountain PBS and KUVO radio, is the largest statewide, member- supported, multi-media network in Colorado. Rocky Mountain Public Media’s mission is to strengthen the civic fabric in communities throughout Colorado, engaging audiences through high-quality, trusted programming, community programs and partnerships, and educational initiatives that inform, enlighten, and entertain.
Our Community Equity and Access department are looking for two qualified Experience Team Interns, you will gain hands-on experience in organizing and curating experiences from start to finish. They will assist with logistics, vendor coordination, marketing, and on-site event support while learning from our Experience Producers. This team serves several brands, and they will be working on experiences with all brands: RMPBS KIDS, Above the Noise, RMPBS, KUVO Jazz, and The DROP.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in planning and coordinating experiences, including logistics, scheduling, and communication both within the organization and externally
Assist the Experience Producer, Buell Center Experience Producer, RMPBS KIDS Experience Producer, and Above the Noise Experience Producer where needed.
Research venues, vendors, and suppliers, gathering quotes and availability
Support the creation of event timelines, guest lists, and registration processes
Communicate with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure smooth execution
Attend events to assist with setup, coordination, and breakdown as needed
Assist with event budgets, track expenses, and process invoices
Gather impact information at RMPM experiences
Actively participate in RMPM’s Core Values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Other tasks as assigned and/or required.
Minimum Qualifications of Position
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Event Planning, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field
High school degree or equivalent
- Must be currently enrolled in, or have recently completed, a program at an accredited college, university, or technical school. If not currently enrolled in a post-secondary program

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and event management tools (preferred)
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
High school degree or equivalent
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally and productively with people at all levels.
Must possess exceptional time management, decision making and organizational skills.
Must be detail-oriented with an ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
Must have a demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work within established budgets.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable MVR; must be insurable for driving station vehicles.

Work Environment
This position works primarily in office, studio, editing, and/or field environments. This position must be able to work a flexible schedule with occasionally long hours including some evenings and weekends. Must be able to travel throughout the state and beyond, on occasion.
