ROC is proud to offer a 14-week paid UX/UI Design internship for individuals who are passionate about design and eager to gain hands-on experience, no formal degree required. We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in UX/UI and growing in the field, a basic background using interface design tools (such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD), and a willingness to learn and grow through constructive feedback.
This is a full-time internship (40 hours per week) based in our Denver office. In addition to contributing to your assigned design projects, you will have opportunities to collaborate with technical and business teams, participate in design discussions, and take part in company-wide team-building and social events.
Goals and Responsibilities include:
- Support Product Improvements: Assist in enhancing existing product features by exploring design solutions that improve usability and overall user experience.
- Maintain the Design System: Contribute to updating and organizing design system components to ensure consistency across products.

Create and Update Design Documentation: Prepare design specifications, user flows, annotations, and supporting documentation to aid developers and stakeholders.
Apply Basic Psychological Principles to Design: Use foundational psychological and user-behavior concepts to inform design decisions and improve user engagement. - Participate in Iterative Design Processes: Engage in research, sketching, wireframing, prototyping, and testing to refine concepts through continuous feedback.
- Practice Critical Thinking & User-Centered Design: Evaluate user needs and feedback to inform thoughtful design decisions and propose meaningful improvements.
- Present and Communicate Ideas: Clearly articulate design concepts, rationale, and recommendations to team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong interest in UX/UI design and a desire to grow in the field
- Basic experience using interface design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
- Ability to think critically, listen to user needs, and incorporate feedback
- Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and design methods
- Basic understanding of user-centered design principles or a desire to develop that knowledge
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting ideas or explaining design decisions
- Openness to constructive critique and enthusiasm for iterative improvement
Other Bonus Skills and Experience:
- Background in graphic design, interactive design, psychology, or related fields
- Experience using interface and design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
- Familiarity with visual design fundamentals (layout, typography, color theory)
- Exposure to user research, usability testing, or analyzing user behavior
