ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
Operations is offering an internship to assist the function and its leadership in delivering key Engineering initiatives. The Engineering/ESG function in Operations is responsible for providing technical support and analysis across all Operations factories and Corporate facilities. The team is tasked with delivering a wide range of technical solutions During your summer internship you will be based in either Winston Salem, NC or Clarksville, TN and will be assigned to one area of function. You will exercise initiative, creative problem solving, teamwork, and leadership as you interact with other personnel throughout our winning organization. In addition, you will have fun while adding value and encountering outstanding career development support. At the close of your internship, you will present your project overview, findings, and recommendations to senior management, project partners, and work teams.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Support key projects that assist in driving business and financial results within a functional area of Operations. Examples of potential project areas: (New Category product introductions, optimization of existing manufacturing processes, factory footprint scenarios, facilities infrastructure obsolescence, and health and safety compliance.
- Conduct research, data analysis, and interact with stakeholders to support your assigned projects
- Deliver a creative and innovative solutions
- Collaborate with teams across the Operations function as well as opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally throughout the business

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with completed coursework in Engineering
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- An action-oriented, innovative leader with strong influencing skills and a drive for results
- Strong interpersonal skills

Wage Information
Hourly Rate: Undergraduate Rate: $21.00 per hour / Graduate Rate: $38.50 per hour
