Position Title: Financial Advisor/Planner Intern

Schedule: Part-time (during school breaks) 10-20 hrs/week
Compensation: Paid role – $21/hr.
About Us
We are a boutique financial planning and wealth management firm that works with clients to help them achieve their financial goals. We take a team approach to providing solutions to our clients. We currently have 12 employees to assist in meeting our clients’ needs. For the last 55+ years we have coached clients in financial planning.
Internship Overview
Our internship offers a hands-on opportunity to explore the world of financial planning and wealth management. Interns will support day-to-day operations, assist with administrative tasks, and engage in projects that contribute to client service and business operations. Interns will learn directly from seasoned financial advisors through shadowing, mentorship, and collaborative work.
Responsibilities
- Support projects such as research, report preparation, and data entry
- Shadow advisors and staff to learn more about their roles and responsibilities
- Help maintain CRM systems and update client records
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to office initiatives
- Conduct financial research and summarize findings for advisors
- Assist with organizing and processing client paperwork and documentation
Learning Objectives
- Understand the fundamentals of financial planning and investment advisory services
- Gain exposure to client relationship management and financial services
- Learn how financial advisors work with clients
Qualifications
- Able to work 10-20 hours per week in person at our Lakewood office
- Currently pursuing a degree in Personal Finance, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a professional setting
