THE ROLE:
As a Computer/Software Engineer Intern for the summer of 2025, you will support and assist the Software Engineering team by designing reliable, functional, and cutting-edge vehicle control software; developing and testing software for vehicles and connected systems; supporting various systems through troubleshooting. This role will work on a variety of key projects and initiatives ranging from simple tasks to more complex analytical projects.
YOUR IMPACT:
As a Computer/Software Engineer Intern your assignments may include:
Write quality, maintainable, object-oriented C++ software
Develop and maintain software for various vehicle control functions and diagnostics
Identify and mitigate vehicle operation and maintenance risks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure software aligns with vehicle requirements and performance goals
Prepare and maintain the software documentation as necessary
Test vehicle specific software to ensure software quality and identify potential issues
Participate in peer reviews and other engineering activities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the duration of the summer 2025 internship. Summer housing is available to interns whose permanent address is greater than 50 miles from their work location.
