We are seeking a Sales and Marketing Intern for a technology development company in Troy, Michigan. DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities:
- Acts as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
- Develops and implements strategies for developing business in new accounts/territories
- Spearheads new lead generation strategies and account penetration strategies for current accounts
- Is responsible for managing proposal development and client presentations, and interaction
- Maintains relationships and open communication with onsite resources in their accounts
- Proactively finds new ways to build the existing business and grow accounts
- Demonstrates working knowledge of each area of the client’s needs, to validate recommendations before presenting to the client
- Master’s and maintains detailed knowledge of the client’s business, competition, and latest industry news and trends
Requirements:
- An advanced or Sales/Marketing Degree is a plus
- Must have demonstrable presentation skills
- Excellent sales and client relationship-making skills. Ability to interface with a wide range of individuals
- Broad technical knowledge about Systems and IT Infrastructure; Application Development and Frameworks; Enterprise Business Suites, Portals, and Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing
- Ability to expand the footprint/increase sales in the IT services
- Confidence in cross-selling experience within medium and large companies with a proven and documented revenue growth success
- Track record of expanding existing business by researching and targeting opportunities
- Progressive account management experience within the information technology field is a plus

- Should be able to work independently in pursuing leads/revenue targets
- Conceptual thinking – able to integrate various sources of information into one coherent idea
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and still meet deadlines. Superior execution abilities, delivers what needs to be done to meet objectives, prioritizes and plans work actions with little or no supervision
- Innovative: Displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness and a positive attitude
