Summer 2026 New York Legal Internship Program (Paid)*
The New York Internship Program is a seven-week immersive summer experience that integrates real-world legal internships with leadership development, professional mentorship, and meaningful Jewish learning—all within a warm, growth-oriented community. Students gain firsthand exposure to the legal field while connecting with accomplished attorneys, executives, and community leaders in the heart of New York’s legal industry.
Internship Experience
The core of the program is a Monday–Friday internship hosted by respected law firms, legal departments, and advocacy organizations throughout New York City and Long Island. Internships are structured to provide meaningful participation in ongoing legal work, guided mentorship, and professional growth.
- Work alongside attorneys, paralegals, and clerks on research, case preparation, client communication, and administrative review
- Host organizations include premier New York law firms, public interest legal services, and corporate legal departments
- Areas of focus include business law, real estate law, family law, criminal law, litigation, contract law, nonprofit law, and compliance
- *Several internships are paid
- Select placements may continue after the program concludes
Leadership & Professional Development
Participants build critical professional and interpersonal skills through structured networking and leadership programming.
- Weekly community mentorship brunches and private dinners with attorneys and business leaders
- Small-group sessions on ethics, leadership, and communication in the legal profession
- Practical guidance on law school preparation, networking, and developing a meaningful career in the legal world
Jewish Learning & Community
The program launches with a one-week offsite leadership and community retreat introducing participants to an immersive Jewish learning experience. Throughout the program, participants engage in weekly learning sessions, four inspiring Shabbat experiences, and guided study sessions that provide opportunities for reflection, connection, and growth. Learning experiences are accessible and engaging for students of all backgrounds.
- Opening one-week retreat (June 14–21, 2026)
- Weekly Tuesday and Thursday evening group dinners and discussions
- Four immersive Shabbat programs with three off-Shabbat weekends
- One-on-one study and interactive talks exploring themes of justice, ethics, and personal development
Community & Premium Housing
High-end accommodations in the upscale Five Towns area—a vibrant Jewish community with convenient access to Manhattan and surrounding areas
- Live with like-minded peers in fully furnished housing with modern amenities, shared kitchen, bathroom, and comfortable common areas
- Separate gender accommodations provided
- Optional Monday evening social and recreational activities

Eligibility: Open to university and pre-law students nationwide studying legal studies, political science, government, public policy, or related fields
