Job Description
Performs general, material, computer, mechanical, electrical, electronics, and/or aerospace engineering tasks.
Performs general engineering work in support of projects assigned to higher grade engineers.
Uses engineering manuals, standard publications and technical material to obtain information and pertinent data to be used by higher level engineers, contractors and/or customers.
Keep abreast of emerging technologies and professional development to maintain current in the field and for application to work assignments.
Job Specialties
General Engineer: Perform analysis of contractors’ proposals and cost estimates. Requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Mechanical Engineers: Ensure products conform to contract and quality specifications when they enter the Naval Supply System and assist in identifying and processing non-conforming products.
Quality Assurance Engineering: Ensure the correct manufacturing of goods for the Naval Supply Systems through verification of data, test reports, and manufacturing practices.
Chemical: Solutions design for food, drug, and fuel industries through research, equipment design, and safety troubleshooting.
Civil: Design and construction of infrastructure projects.
Electrical: Design and build electronic parts, components, navigation and communication systems.
Mechanical: Design and building of machinery, equipment, sensors, and engines.
Nuclear: Design and management of new uses for nuclear power and materials.
Petroleum / Natural Gas: Design and management of new uses for subsurface energy and storage.

Job Qualifications:
4-year Engineering Degree
US Citizenship required.
