Auditor
We are currently looking for an experienced Auditor for a full service CPA Firm. The ideal candidate must have audit experience as they will lead audit engagements and develop relationships with clients and non-clients to foster the Firm’s business goals. Responsibilities will include:
- Performing Audits of Financial Statements
- Designing and performing tests of Internal Controls
- Providing recommendations to improve controls and to enhance business efficiency
- Developing engagement budgets and ensuring client objectives are met
- Performing other attestation related services
- Identify accounting and auditing issues and perform research to solve these issues
- Preparing documentation of risk assessment procedures, planning consideration, and audit procedures
- Working with clients and staff to determine engagement objectives and taking a proactive role in coordinating resources to meet said objectives
- .Serving as a mentor to less experienced firm employees
- Identifying opportunities for expanded services to existing clients
- Exhibiting a professional and business-like demeanor at all times
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in public accounting/auditing
- Strong analytical interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Proficient with spreadsheet software programs, general ledger packages and audit applications
- Ability to lead and develop audit staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Single Audit and/or Governmental audit experience preferred
Education
- Bachelor degree in accounting/business administration
Professional Designations
- Certified Public Accountant (a Plus)
