Salary: $59,424 – $83,424 per year

The Illinois Department of Human Services is seeking a Rehabilitation Counselor Trainee to join our dedicated team. This is your opportunity to receive comprehensive on-the-job training in home services and case management for individuals with disabilities.
What You’ll Do:
• Receive training to manage case records and service delivery for individuals with disabilities under Home Services Programs.
• Gain expertise in federal and state regulations for the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Waiver, Brain Injury (BI) Waiver, and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) Waiver.
• Participate in workshops and staff meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge in rehabilitation counseling.
• Provide vital support to help individuals maintain independence in their homes and communities.
What We’re Looking For:
• A Master’s degree in a related field such as rehabilitation counseling, social work, clinical psychology, or special education.
• Passion for helping others achieve independence and a better quality of life.
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
