In the role of a Civil (Solid Waste) Intern, we’ll count on you to:
- Gain real-world experience on exciting projects by applying standard engineering techniques and procedures to solid waste facilities and environmental projects such as landfills, recycling facilities, remediation sites, and waste transfer stations
- Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Engineer to assist in groundwater sampling program including coordination with laboratories, data analysis and reporting on behalf of private and public clients for regulatory agency compliance
- Perform other duties as needed such as performing overall site layouts, grading plans, utility layout, cost estimating and drainage reviews. Perform administrative duties to support project managers and our clients.
- Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professional programs
- May require occasional travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer 2+ years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
- Prior experience with field work and environmental regulations is a plus.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation is a plus
- Preference given to local candidates
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
