The Behavioral Health Counselor at Greene Health Services provides direct therapeutic services, case management, and recovery-focused support to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges. This role involves assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, facilitating individual and group therapy, and connecting clients to community resources. The Counselor plays a vital role in helping clients achieve independence, stability, and overall well-being.
Position Overview: We’re looking for a Masters-level Therapist (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, or associate) to provide therapy services minimum 2 days per week — your choice of days. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy
· Active or associate-level Washington State license (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, etc.)
· Strong clinical documentation and interpersonal skills

Primary Responsibilities:
Client Care & Counseling
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and strengths.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Utilize trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and other modalities to support clients’ mental health goals.
- Offer psychoeducation to clients and families regarding mental health, coping strategies, and recovery resources.
Case Management & Advocacy
- Assist clients in identifying and accessing resources such as housing, employment, education, and medical care.
- Provide crisis intervention and safety planning for clients experiencing acute mental health distress.
- Collaborate with schools, social services, healthcare providers, and community agencies to ensure coordinated care.
- Advocate for clients’ rights, ensuring they receive appropriate support, accommodations, and services.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment progress in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations, ethical guidelines, and professional standards for confidentiality and clinical practice.
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and continuing education to ensure high-quality service delivery.
