The Global Council on Crypto Taxation (GCOCT) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing fair, transparent, and globally coordinated crypto tax policy. We work closely with policy groups, academic institutions, and industry leaders to shape the dialogue around digital assets and taxation worldwide.
About the Fellowship
The Crypto Research Fellowship is a unique opportunity for students passionate about crypto, Web3, tax policy, or research to gain hands-on exposure in one of the most rapidly evolving areas of global finance. As a fellow, you’ll collaborate on international research initiatives, contribute to policy reports, and share your insights with a global audience — including academics, regulators, and policymakers shaping the future of crypto regulation.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in research projects on topics such as DeFi, digital asset taxation, and blockchain policy
- Work independently with guidance from GCOCT’s expert advisory team
- Engage with professors, professionals, and local experts to enrich your research perspective
- Contribute to global surveys, rankings, and publications
- Work at your own pace — only 1–2 hours per week, fully flexible
- Receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the 3-month fellowship
