As a Supervisory Program Manager, you will:
- Participate with the DA and DDA in developing and implementing Federal-aid oversight initiatives and stewardship functions through an annual risk assessment of the State’s Federal-aid program.
- Provide information and guidance in the interpretation, application, and implementation of Federal laws, regulations, and policy relating to assigned construction projects and programs.
- Serve as a principal advisor to the DA and DDA and provide direction on a statewide basis for the management, implementation, program direction, and coordination of all phases of new and existing Federal-aid highway projects.
- Review and take appropriate action on reports and analyses prepared by staff.
- Participate and coordinate in regular information planning sessions with other California Division Directors and teams on overlapping activities.
The ideal candidate for this position will have proven experience providing leadership and supervision to a major organizational unit, as well as experience that includes responsibility for the accomplishments of an organizational team or unit.
Knowledge of Federal-Aid funding and regulations, transportation program development, infrastructure planning and construction is highly desirable. Ideally, the applicant will have experience in the development of a business plan and/or the accomplishment of business measures.
