Spend your summer in a state park and help create an amazing camp experience! Day camp interns will work alongside our professional staff of childcare specialists to provide a fun, educational and safe environment for our summer campers. This internship provides the candidate with hands-on experience working with different age groups, teaching nature and history-based lessons, games and crafts, and assisting with behavior management. At the end of the season, you will design and teach your own camp activity based on your experience. Become a part of our vibrant camp culture and gain essential skills for a career in informal or formal education.
Interns will also participate in intern-wide professional development activities and experiential learning opportunities that may require them to be off-site or away from their placement. Each intern will complete a personalized “demonstration of learning” project. At the conclusion of the internship, all interns will present their projects during a poster session for peers and Delaware State Parks staff.
