The Social Media and Marketing Intern is responsible for helping to create a weekly social media schedule and post set content into the program Later for CPAC’s multiple social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn). Content creation will also take place for bulk emails through Mailchimp, including monthly newsletter. Other roles include designing original graphics for social media posts using Canva and recording marketing metrics for social media platforms to track growth and engagement. This position is ideal for someone embarking on a career in Arts Administration, Marketing, and Public Relations. Learning objectives include:
- Being part of a professional team and collaborating to implement organizational marketing efforts related to audience development, social media, and information distribution
- Creating and posting social media content on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, which includes posting relevant links and building research skills
- Developing new approaches for our social media and communication efforts
- Assisting with the maintenance of the CPAC website pages through WordPress
- Practice generating a weekly social media schedule that coordinates with email newsletters and upcoming events
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
An advanced understanding of various social media platforms; strong verbal and written skills; highly organized and detail oriented; self directed and creative. Skills in graphic design a plus.
