Overview
The Plate Operator is an entry level, non-exempt position that reports to the Plate Production Manager. The Plate Operator is responsible for operating equipment, producing products that meet Charm Sciences’ quality control standards and ensures the product being manufactured is free from defects.
The pay range for this position is $19.47 to $26.88 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and other factors in accordance with applicable laws.
Essential Functions
- Comply with all Charm Sciences, Inc. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Follow clean room procedures as defined by Charm Sciences and supplied training materials.
- Set up labeling and inspection systems in addition to operating machinery.
- Monitor operation and performance. Perform and log production quality tests.
- Assemble/disassemble clean plate feeder and slurry dispenser.
- Maintain proper operation of plate labelling machine, belt, printer and vision inspection system.
- Inspect plates coming from machines for quality.
- Bag and seal plates.
- Enter and maintain inventory.
- Download data and produce reports in excel spreadsheets.
- Setup/shutdown procedures for all machines.
- Perform production log data entry.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment at all times.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
- Familiarity with Windows and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to work the schedule of M-F 8:00am-4:30pm with flexibility for overtime as needed.
Preferred:
- GMP/GLP experience
Physical Requirements
- The person in this position must be able to frequently lift up to 20 pounds.
- The person in this position must be able to remain standing for an extended length of time while working at a machine.
- The person in this position must be able to visually inspect products to detect deviations from CSI standards.
- The person in this position must possess dexterity to manually load raw materials into production equipment.
- The person in this position frequently operates production equipment.
- The person in this position will be working in a clean room environment.
