Duties
Duties at full performance level:
- Serves as an accounting technician performing a full range of accounting support duties in the examination, verification, and maintenance of accounting data in support of Branch activities.
- Utilizes the system to generate reports relevant to the Annual Delivery Verification process, including (but not limited to) the Water Delivery Revenue (WDR) report and the Monthly Water Statements (MWS).
- Responsible for updating the Reclamation website with contractor notification letters, workshop handouts, and other pertinent rate-setting information.
- Assists in an array of activities associated with the annual water rate-setting process.
- Assists in performing various fiscal year-end closing activities.
- Performs various research, review, and analyses in connection with Branch related activities.

You must maintain a valid State Driver’s License at all times as the position requires operation of government vehicles on government and public roads. Failure to maintain a valid State Driver’s License at all times will result in removal from the position.
Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the education and/or specialized experience requirement – this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
To qualify at the GS-05, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-04 level in federal service having demonstrated experience which includes but not limited to: Generate reports and statements; Maintain ledgers for various facilities recording water payments and charges; Responsible for updating the Reclamation website with contractor notification letters, workshop handouts, and other pertinent ratesetting information; Performing various fiscal year-end closing activities.
OR
Successful completion of 4 years (120 semester hours) of education obtained in an accredited college or university in any field. You must provide a copy of your transcripts.
OR
An equivalent combination of successfully completed education obtained in an accredited college or university and experience. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. You must provide a copy of your transcripts.
To qualify at the GS-06, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-05 level in federal service having demonstrated experience which includes but not limited to: Generate reports and statements; Maintain ledgers for various facilities recording water payments and charges; Develops less complex electronic water rate and water accounting schedules; Responsible for updating the Reclamation website with contractor notification letters, workshop handouts, and other pertinent ratesetting information; Performing various fiscal year-end closing activities; Performs various research, review in connection with Branch related activities.

Successful completion of at least 9 semester hours of graduate level education obtained in an accredited college or university may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position. You must provide a copy of your transcripts.

An equivalent combination of successfully completed graduate level education obtained in an accredited college or university that is directly related to the work of the position and specialized experience. You must provide a copy of your transcripts.
To qualify at the GS-07, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-06 level in federal service having demonstrated experience with but not limited to: Generate reports and statements; Maintain ledgers for various facilities recording water payments and charges; Analyzes water rates paid ensuring correctness; Develops less complex electronic water rate and water accounting schedules; Researches and analyzes water delivery and payment records and determines corrective adjustments; Responsible for updating the Reclamation website with contractor notification letters, workshop handouts, and other pertinent ratesetting information; Performing various fiscal year-end closing activities; Performs various research, review, and analyses in connection with Branch related activities.
