A full-time Sign Language Interpreter is needed to support K-12 students across various classrooms in Nashua, NH. This contract position spans the current school year, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 19, 2026. Working Monday through Friday for 35 hours weekly, the interpreter will serve a diverse caseload, providing essential communication access for students with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret for K-12 students in classroom settings, ensuring clear and accurate communication.
- Facilitate student participation in educational activities by bridging communication gaps.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student learning and inclusion.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all interactions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) license required.
- National certification is highly preferred; however, an Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.8 or higher is acceptable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with documented EIPA written proficiency.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Nashua, NH.
- Experience interpreting across a broad age range with K-12 students.
