We are seeking an extremely detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team. We are a local firm with a unique combination of highly technical, complex, and challenging individual and corporate tax work, including multi-state filings.
This is a full-time position with a variety of responsibilities, including preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for businesses and individuals in accordance with our Firm policies and in compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, federal and state legislation, and regulations. Duties also include assisting in tax planning and compliance projects with a vast array of clients, including manufacturing, construction, and service industries. Salary commensurate with experience.
Minimal, if any, travel is required.
Responsibilities:
- Data entry and preparation of income tax returns.
- Identify which documents are required in order to process returns.
- Document any changes that can be applied to the client’s records.
- Be able to work with a variety of people and make them feel comfortable.
- Organize client records accurately and quickly.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and outside agencies.

- Public accounting experience

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency
- Excellent organizational skills, judgment, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and accepted standard practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- CPA or working toward the successful completion of the CPA exam
