What you will be doing:
The Bridge Engineering Assistant plays a hands-on role in managing and enhancing our state’s 1,067 bridges! You’ll be involved in a variety of exciting tasks, from conducting bridge inspections and analyzing existing structures to designing new bridges and overseeing construction projects. Under the guidance of licensed engineers, you’ll perform structural analysis, calculations, and prepare detailed plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports. You’ll also create structural details, calculate quantities, and draft specifications for construction contracts. Position Perks:
