SMBC Meet and Greet: Compliance, Marketing and Events, and Corporate Communications

Our SMBC Meet and Greet Series is a unique opportunity to meet and interact with the various business areas that hire interns and analysts. This session will feature overviews of five business groups followed by a Q&A session.Note: You are welcome to attend as many of the Meet and Greet sessions as you like. You can find each session’s participating business groups on our events central page here.ComplianceThe Compliance Department is responsible for promoting a culture of compliance and ensuring that SMBC adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. We work to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks and provide guidance and effective second line challenges to business units across the firm and Group Companies.Brand Marketing and EventsThe Brand Marketing and Events Team is responsible for the creation and implementation of the brand market strategy, messaging and all elements associated with the brand. The team also plans and executes “best-in-class” client events and manages hospitality.Corporate CommunicationsThe Communications Team develops and deploys strategic plans that guide internal employee communications, media relations, social media, and SMBC Americas Division’s internal and external websites to raise the bank’s profile and support its business goals.
