Native Communities: Rooted to Rise

What does it mean to build a future that’s rooted in who you are?Join the Teach For America Native Community for Rooted to Rise, a gathering for Indigenous students to connect, reflect, and explore what leadership looks like when it’s grounded in culture, community, and purpose.Together, we’ll wrestle with some of the most important questions shaping our future:• How do we engage with emerging technologies like AI while protecting Indigenous knowledge, sovereignty, and ways of knowing?• How do we pursue careers that reflect our values instead of simply following expectations?• How do we care for ourselves while continuing to care for our communities?• How do we grow into the leaders our communities need without losing sight of who we are?Like a plant, our greatest growth begins with strong roots. When we’re grounded in our identities, traditions, and communities, we’re better equipped to adapt, lead, and create lasting change while staying true to ourselves.Whether you’re still discovering your path or already leading on your campus, Rooted to Rise is a space to build community, challenge ideas, share stories, and imagine what’s possible together.
