Martin Perez serves as a Managing Director of Latin America Global Sponsor Coverage. Martin joined SMBC in Chile in August 2015. He currently covers financial sponsors’ businesses with SMBC in Latin America across all products. Martin has 30+ years of experience in international corporate & investment banking. During his career, Martín has acquired an extensive background and management experience as Head of Corporate & Investment Banking, in Management, as Senior Banker and member of Credit Committees. He has dealt with clients within various industries and has worked on deals including Structured Debt / Credit Markets (syndicated loans, bonds, project finance, ECAs), Derivatives (FX, IR, CCS, Commodities), M&A, Corporate Finance, Global Transaction Banking, etc. Martín has an MBA with honors from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez of Chile and graduated as CPA from the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay.Come get to know us.At SMBC, we are growing and transforming alongside our clients.
