Visa’s Military Employee Resource Group (MERG) unites service members, veterans, first responders, military families, and allies. It highlights their contributions to Visa and the importance of service.

During Veterans and Military Families Month, MERG hosts events like Operation Gratitude’s Cards for Heroes, the Denver Veterans Day 5K, military museum visits, a Toys for Tots drive, mentorship programs, veteran career workshops, and leadership panels.

MERG collaborates with Talent Acquisition to strengthen the talent pipeline for veterans and military spouses. Partnerships with ACP, Hiring Our Heroes, and SOTF have led to a 66.67% increase in military talent hiring, 43% military representation in technical apprenticeships, and no-cost fellowships for transitioning service members.

This Veterans Month, our community will join a virtual job fair with PowerToFly, a platform dedicated to connecting underrepresented talent with inclusive employers. During the fair, our veterans will share their experiences and career opportunities at Celonis, showcasing how we provide a supportive and inclusive environment. In addition, we’ll host in-office lunches led by community members and spotlight veterans’ stories on our employee blog.

Cummins

Cummins actively supports veterans through a variety of initiatives designed to facilitate their transition into civilian careers and promote their well-being. The Skillbridge Program, allows active-duty military personnel to spend the last 3-6 months of their service working with corporate partners like Cummins. Through the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program, Cummins hosts transitioning active-duty service members for 12-week internships, assisting them gain work experience in the private sector during their last six months of military service.

Additionally, Cummins has established the Veteran Employee Resource Group (VERG) to create a supportive community for veterans, current service members, and their families. The VERG not only advocates for the needs of veterans within the company but also engages in community outreach and offers a buddy program to help veterans connect. Freddie Mac

Freddie Mac commemorates and celebrates U.S. veterans, service people and their families in November and year-round through exemplary benefits and robust Business Resource Group (BRG) programming. Recently, the Military Appreciation BRG and employee volunteers greeted veterans who arrived on an Honor Flight at Dulles International Airport to visit war memorials in Washington, D.C.
