This month-long celebration is not just about honoring the past; it’s also about uplifting the voices and talents that continue to shape our world today.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re spotlighting 20+ companies that go beyond surface-level celebrations to actively support their Hispanic and Latine employees. At Stryker, we’re proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with enthusiasm and respect for the rich cultures and significant contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. Spearheaded by SOMOS, Stryker’s Hispanic/Latino employee resource group, this month is packed with vibrant activities designed to educate, celebrate, and inspire.

Celonis’ newest BRG, Latinx@Celonis, will lead our global celebrations this year. With vibrant chapters in Madrid, Munich, and New York, Latinx@Celonis promotes cultural learning year-round. From Cinco de Mayo celebrations in NYC to a virtual book club and a wealth-building session with Gigi Gonzalez, Latinx&Allies@Celonis has had an unforgettable year creating a supportive and inclusive culture. This year, the BRG has planned in-office and virtual events to celebrate the diverse cultures of our global workforce.

NASCAR

Our company is dedicated to supporting the Hispanic community through various initiatives. Our Hispanic Employee Resource Group, NASCAR Unidos, sponsors educational programming and promotes professional development. We actively engage in community outreach with Daniel’s Amigos and participate in the Prospanica annual conference. Over the past three years, we have partnered with the Society of Hispanic Engineers to enhance opportunities for Hispanic professionals. Excitingly, we will soon launch a Fellowship program aimed at creating a pipeline for members to become Race Day Engineers and Crew Chiefs, further empowering our workforce and fostering career advancement within the community.

From our manufacturing facilities in Juarez, Mexico to our countless Associates of Hispanic origin across the globe, Shure is always proud to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month. Our Cultural and Racial Equity Associate Resource Group partners seamlessly with our corporate teams to educate and celebrate diverse cultures all year round. We spotlight Hispanic Associates, regional offices, and holidays, partner with organizations that support Hispanic efforts, showcase regionally themed cuisine in our café, and promote Hispanic music, literature, and art. Associates have also curated a global cookbook comprised of Hispanic recipes and even hosted a guacamole contest! The BRG marks its 25th anniversary with the theme, “Power of Us,” with informational and empowering events. They are hosting a panel discussion delving into barriers to career advancement. Additionally, the BRG is kicking off their annual Mentorship Circles, which invites powerful conversations on topics such as ‘Mastering Effective 1:1 Conversations’ and ‘Work-life Balance and Boundaries.’ These activities celebrate the Latino community at Freddie Mac and shine a spotlight onto the company’s mission of Making Home Possible. Visa is committed to attracting, retaining, and developing Latinx talent at Visa. Latinx Connect, Visa’s employee resource group for Latinx employees, cultivates Latinx and Hispanic talent to achieve their professional potential, and positively impact their communities and Visa’s business.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the eight American branches of Latinx Connect at Visa are rallying around the 2024 theme, “Shaping the Future Together”. The Elastician Unidos ERG group is hosting various events for Hispanic Heritage Month, or Elasticians Unidos month. A fireside chat will feature Laura Gómez, CEO of Proyecto Sol, an AI-based mental health support organization for Hispanic and Latine communities. Weekly events include volunteer opportunities with three organizations. One example is teaching English to Spanish- or Portuguese-speaking children, while other options will also be available. This year, the Elasticians Unidos ERG group aims to celebrate their roots and empower future generations.
