This webinar will explore key strategies for engaging diverse audiences, including students and members of the general public, to support community outreach, engagement and recruitment initiatives. Speakers from APHL’s Marketing and Communications team will share best practices for tailoring messages to different audiences and communicating effectively about public health. This session is designed for participants in APHL’s Public Health Laboratory Ambassadors program and others interested in strengthening their outreach and science communication skills.  OBJECTIVESAt the conclusion of the program, the participant will be able to:
Identify different audiences and their needs and interest to tailor public health messages effectively 
Discuss strategies to adapt one story or talking point for a variety of audiences
Describe one to two public speaking styles that can be applied in different settings
