Overview
The Titan Machinery Sales Development Internship is a dynamic, hands-on experience designed for driven 2-year or 4-year college students with less than 50% of their academic career remaining. This internship builds foundational sales knowledge while providing real-world exposure to dealership operations, customer engagement, and performance-driven results. Interns will partner with store leaders and sales teams to gain practical experience in equipment sales, rentals, parts and service support, and key administrative systems. Interns will leave this program with sharpened sales skills, a deep understanding of operational systems and processes, and insight into what drives strong customer relationships and dealership success. High-performing interns may be considered for future employment opportunities with Titan Machinery.

Responsibilities
Learning Objectives

Develop Sales & Business Acumen
- Learn how to market and sell new, used, and rental equipment
- Research equipment specifications, values, and competitive differentiators
- Support pricing strategies and trade evaluations
- Assist with sales packet completion and deal preparation
- Explore equipment financing options
- Navigate Titan’s CRM and participate in lead generation and prospecting

Understand Operational Systems & Dealership Processes
- Gain exposure to equipment inventory and lifecycle management
- Learn the rental process from inquiry to invoicing
- Complete Dealer Purchase Orders (DPOs) and become familiar with sales documentation
- Observe and support cross-functional collaboration between departments

Engage in Customer-Focused Activities
- Shadow experience team members during customer interactions
- Understand Titan’s approach to building long-term customer relationships
- Learn to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
- Participate in store meetings and engage in local marketing efforts

Learn Product Support Fundamentals
- Get hands-on experience in service scheduling, warranty processes, and billing
- Support the parts department with inventory lookups and sales
- Understand how parts and service contribute to the overall customer experience

- Attend industry events, trade shows, and clinics as available
- Collaborate with leadership and gain mentorship throughout the internship
- Develop soft skills in communication, time management, and conflict resolution

Qualifications
Eligibility Requirements
- Enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college program AND have less than 50% of your academic career remaining by the start of the internship program
- Ability to commit to a full-time summer schedule (35-40 hours/week for 8-12 weeks)
