About the Internship
We’re hiring a Floating Quality Control Technician Intern to support quality control inspections across active multifamily construction sites. This is a hands-on opportunity for a student interested in construction, engineering, safety, or building sciences to learn how projects are inspected, documented, and prepared for turnover.
No prior construction experience required. We’ll teach you what to look for and why it matters.
This role is ideal for students who want real field exposure, are comfortable being on job sites, and want to learn how quality and safety are managed in active construction environments.
What You’ll Learn & Do
- Assist with quality control inspections near project completion
- Use inspection checklists to review workmanship and compliance
- Observe and learn how different trades operate (mechanical, electrical, structural, finishes)
- Help document inspection findings and QA reports
- Communicate observations to construction team members (with guidance)
- Participate in site walks and inspections with the QC team
- Support additional field or quality-related tasks as needed
- (This is hands-on learning. You’ll be on real jobsites, not stuck behind a desk.)

Requirements
- No prior inspection or construction experience required
- Coursework in construction, engineering, or safety is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to stand/walk job sites and lift up to 30 lbs
- Willingness to travel regionally as schedule allows
