About the Role: GO See The City is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Intern to join our team. This role will be crucial in supporting our efforts to reduce food waste and promote sustainability. The Research Intern will work closely with our team to gather, analyze, and report on various aspects of municipal food waste laws, potential partnerships, potential clients, grant opportunities, speaking engagements, and more. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sustainability and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on municipal food waste laws and regulations across different regions.
- Identify and evaluate potential partnerships with local organizations, nonprofits, and businesses.
- Research potential clients and develop strategies for outreach and engagement.
- Explore and identify potential grant opportunities and assist in the application process.
- Research speaking opportunities for our leadership team to promote our mission and brand.
- Stay updated on current food waste issues, sustainability trends, and industry best practices.
- Compile and present research findings in clear, concise reports for internal use.
- Assist with other research-related tasks as needed to support the team.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Public Policy, Business, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from various sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Passion for sustainability, food waste reduction, and environmental issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous research experience or internships in a related field are a plus.
