About the Position:
The Web Developer Intern will support NACo’s Information Technology team by assisting in the development and maintenance of dynamic, accurate web pages and digital tools. This role offers hands-on experience with modern web technologies and systems, helping interns build technical expertise and professional skills relevant to a career in web development. The intern will work collaboratively with IT staff and other departments across NACo and will report to the IT Data Architect.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing, building and maintaining NACo websites and other digital platforms.
• Collaborate with internal NACo teams to implement site updates and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues where applicable.
• Follow best practices in clean coding, version control, and web design standards
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Demonstrable knowledge of web development tools such as HTML, CSS, and React.js.
• Familiarity with Office 365 and MSSQL.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Prior experience in a web development setting preferred.
Preferred Attributes:
• Computer Science certifications, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree in progress.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service mindset and attention to detail.
• Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
Location and Travel: This internship will start in late January 2026 and is based in Washington, D.C., with flexibility for hybrid work. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
