Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Guest Service Associate to join our Baywood Hotels team at Embassy Suites Hilton! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional service while assisting with their stay. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and experience in a hospitality environment. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve a diverse customer base. This position offers an engaging work environment where guest satisfaction and return stays are prioritized.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout check-in and the rest of their stay experience
- Operate POS systems efficiently for check-in, service recovery and cashiering transactions
- Support operations through guest services and service recovery
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette
- Promote sales and honors signups through effective communication of amenities and benefits
- Ensure the environment is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Assist fellow team members when necessary, including helping new staff on hotel procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or other languages) is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to retail transactions and inventory management
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
