Principle Responsibilities
- Help Manufacturing Engineers with design and fixing issues.
- Determining root cause of line failures using state-of-the-art problem solving tools
- Help with containment and implementation of corrective actions for quality issues.
- Support for ergonomic issues at various workstations on the production floor.
- Analyzing process data to determine effectiveness of process controls
- As experience is gained, the coop will be provided more opportunity for developing projects and solutions on their own
Example of Projects
- Update work instructions for a new product at each work station.
- Implement a cost saving idea by working with vendors to acquire a piece of equipment for precious metal reclaim. This includes process development and creating work instructions.
- Work with in house machine shop and tool room to design and implement new fixtures and tools for the manufacturing area.
