The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Northeast Region. We are looking for an individual with a strong customer service attitude, to join our team of professionals as a Fiscal Analyst 1. The mission of our Fiscal Unit is to process payroll, and payables, and provide support for the Department’s business units throughout the Northeast Region.
Our ideal candidate will have accounting/bookkeeping experience, with a good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. This position will process data, review, analyze, and interpret multiple reports from financial systems, as well as analyze and correct discrepancies.
Required Qualifications:
- 12 college semester credit hours of accounting.
- One year of accounting/bookkeeping experience, with an understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Experience reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting accounting and financial records and reports, as well as analyzing and correcting discrepancies.
- Experience with using computer programs such as; Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in using a ten-key calculator.
- Ability to perform accurate work using knowledge of general accounting practices.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, proofread, plan and organize workload, and prioritize work to meet inflexible and competing deadlines while dealing with constant interruptions.
