The Role
GovExec is looking for an ambitious Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you will identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and establish new partnerships. You will take a consultative approach to understand our client’s goals and develop integrated marketing programs that map to those objectives.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a strategic portfolio of strong relationships with new and existing clients; secure new and profitable partnerships and grow existing accounts
- Inform new opportunities and ongoing business development strategy through deep knowledge and understanding of the market and trends
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to build integrated packages and tailored proposals that map to clients’ objectives
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, track performance and assist in pipeline management
- Manage client relationships, expectations, and delivery of ROI, in partnership with product teams
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in media sales and/or marketing
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university
- Proven record of goal or performance-based achievement
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Effective problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic, driven by creativity, persistence, and tenacity
- Superior professionalism, discretion, and judgment
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to new ideas

The compensation range for this role is $60,000 to $77,500 per year including commission potential.
