This is a full-time position with a salary of $25- $31 an hour, plus benefits.
About the Role
As the Facilities Systems Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing campus operations through the management of our CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) while leading efforts to improve energy efficiency. Reporting to the Facilities Office Manager, you’ll ensure work orders align with the latest regulatory standards and collaborate with various departments to optimize our energy usage.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage and maintain the department’s CMMS (FAMIS 360), ensuring accurate and efficient entry of parts and purchasing data.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of Facilities work orders, including receipt, coordination, tracking, and prioritization.
- Perform regular data analysis on parts and assets, recommending process improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to maintain asset records and troubleshoot CMMS issues.
- Implement system updates in coordination with CMMS programmers and create instructional aids for users.
- Monitor energy usage across campus and lead the development and execution of energy efficiency plans.
- Maximize financial opportunities by leveraging utility rebate and incentive programs to reduce energy costs.
- Generate and present work order reports to Facilities leadership, highlighting service trends.
- Conduct routine audits of key control software and assist users with the CMMS-related app when access issues arise.
- Support administrative processes related to vendor relations and help coordinate department access in Transact.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Data Science, Information Systems, or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the job.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a data management and customer service environment is preferred.
- Experience with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) guidelines for new building construction, major renovation and existing buildings.
- Experience in energy or utility management, resource efficiency, or engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access) and strong understanding of CRM systems.
- Strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and analytical skills, with experience in reducing energy and utility costs.
- Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of energy regulations, compliance, and advanced efficiency processes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- Adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to work independently.
