Geedop, a startup from El Paso, TX, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Geedop. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components for our next generation of high-tech industrial devices.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our development team to develop product requirements and specifications.
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for new industrial devices, including analog and digital circuitry, embedded systems, power systems, and communication interfaces.
- Perform schematic capture and PCB layout, ensuring compliance with design rules and industry standards.
- Conduct simulations and analyses to verify the performance of designs, and make improvements as necessary.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate and debug hardware designs, ensuring product quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to develop and integrate embedded systems.
- Support the transition of products from design to manufacturing, including the creation of manufacturing documentation and providing technical support.
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigation for any issues found during testing or production.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and standards to contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Prepare and present technical reports, design reviews, and other documentation as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and power electronics.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools, such as Altium Designer or similar.
- Familiarity with electronics simulation and analysis tools, such as SPICE, MATLAB, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for electrical design and manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a product development environment focused on industrial applications.
- Experience with microcontrollers, FPGA, and/or DSP programming is a plus.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, such as FCC, CE, UL, or RoHS, is a plus.
