>> My name is Sarah Emory. I am a consultant, a manager, for KPMG, and I specifically do revenue cycle work with different health care systems that span from Hospice, long-term care, hospitals, physician networks, etc., and in terms of revenue cycle improvement, we basically assess all revenue cycle processes, understand where there's opportunities for optimization, provide recommendations, and then implement on them. So specifically, we'll look at contract management systems, and understand are claims adjudicating as we would expect them to? Do we understand what our net reimbursement rates are going to be? Where there may be limitations, then we will go all the way through to the collection processes. Is it standardized, is there reporting for it? What's the productivity like? And then we'll follow up with like cash posting, is it automated? What are they doing with money that can't be reconciled? Typically about an 80 hour week. And we start at like 7, or so in the morning, doing observations and interviews most of the day, as well, like if you're already to the implementation piece of our work, you're doing meetings, and strategies, work plans, etc. Then working into the night, through things you can do when you don't necessarily need to be on client site, like data reconciliation reporting, monitoring, etc.
